Back to Basics: Socks is my go-to when I am knitting basic vanilla socks. With a little math, I find that I’m able to make a pair of socks for those I love that fit correctly. Curt, in particular, is quite picky about his socks and the way they fit. He appreciates preciously how these fit his feet.

Worked in the round, Back to Basics: Socks contains written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. Directions are for both cuff-down and toe-up. If you feel inclined to make 2 in the same direction, that’s completely acceptable, or one of each if you’re feeling particularly topsy-turvy! Back to Basics: Socks features 7 sizes. You’ll also find a sock worksheet, so you know how to measure your foot to achieve a perfect fit. Back to Basics: Socks has directions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the pattern notes do contain details should you wish to use double pointed needles instead.
