Description
Daisy is an ideal starter shawl for introducing yourself to lace-like stitches for the very first time or an intermediate knitter who’s looking for a more mindless project to work on, this is also a superb choice as you’ll have something that doesn’t require too much focus but packs enough interest in to keep you engaged. This top-down crescent-shaped shawl is a joy for beginner shawl knitters who want to dabble in some simple lace textures without too much overwhelm as they’re broken up by garter stitch sections.
This shawl pattern shines well with solid, semi-solid, or lightly-variegated/speckled yarns due to the lacework with the daisies – which will get very lost in busy yarns. If you’re wishing to use a busy variegated yarn with this project, I recommend limiting it to the garter portions of the shawl where it will not compete with the stitches and using something more toned down in the daisies and final eyelets sections.
