Mix Tape

$11.00

Go on. Grab that busy skein from your stash. You’re going to use it! Is it full of neons? Maybe you’ll have an 80’s mix tape. Perhaps it’s full of orange, yellow, and brown? Hello, 70’s Mix Tape! No matter your genre, your Mix Tape will be uniquely you.

Mix Tape is ideal for those magical busy skeins we keep in our stashes with no idea what to make with them because they’re so heavily variegated. This pattern offers a Side A (boomerang Shawl) and Side B (top-down triangular shawl) giving you loads of options to work through your stash! Since this shawl pattern allows you to work the repeat until you’ve reached your desired size, it can easily be worked up in any yarn weight.

Description

Mix Tape focuses on two triangular shawl shapes with the same pattern stitch!

Side A features a triangle that’s worked sideways along the bias. Increasing occurs on one end of the shawl, decreasing every 4th row on the other end, giving it that classic boomerang shawl shape.

Side B is a top-down triangular shawl, taking its traditional shape from increasing 4 stitches on every right-side row, one on each end and then one on each side of a center spine.

Worked flat, Mix Tape contains written directions and charts. With the nature of these shawls and this pattern, you can knit these designs to any desired length. It’s entirely up to you and the yardage you have on hand! The sizes listed are to give knitters help planning their yardage, like benchmarks.

This pattern is available in our Standard formatting. Low-visibility and screen-reader-accessible versions of this pattern are available with this pattern purchase. The low-visibility format is 24pt print in Arial, black font, no italics, and contains written directions (there are no charts to work from). The screen reader format has all the items mentioned above, contains no abbreviations, and accessibility was checked by the read-aloud function on both a Windows PC and Android device.
