The Trip to Pirate’s Cove is an asymmetrical shawl that caters to that one-off busy skein that sits in our stashes waiting for a project that will do well with their variegation. We all know we pick these hand-dyed beauties up, being captivated by how stunning they are, but are always stuck with the task of finding a pattern that will work well with the yarn.

Since there’s no purling involved in this project, I found this worked up incredibly quickly. Many members of the test team had the shawl done within days of the test starting.

The Trip to Pirate’s Cove is named after a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers song of the same name from their Mojo album. It’s Curt’s all-time favorite band, so he is thrilled about the pattern name. ♥

Worked flat, The Trip to Pirate’s Cove contains written directions and charts. A handy-dandy progress tracker is included to help you with your rows and stitch counts. Yardage for each section is given should you wish to turn this into a scrappy project!
