Have you grabbed your FREE copy of Unity yet? This delicious sock pattern features a cable panel that runs along the outside of each sock. With toe-up and cuff-down directions, you’ll be able to work this 11-sized sock pattern up for the whole family in no time with your preferred knitting style.

Humanity is collectively going through a traumatic experience together. We’ve learned during this pandemic who is genuinely essential in our communities, and how undervalued and underpaid they have been, all while they risk their own lives daily. We’ve united to help one another in this crisis, often putting others before ourselves. And we’ve found out how hard self-isolation has been for extroverts stuck living an introverted lifestyle.

Lastly, according to the Canadian Prime Minister, we have discovered that Canadians speak “moistly” on one another. Who knew!

Description

Worked in the round, Unity contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers – so you don’t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).

This sock pattern shines well with solid, semi-solid, or lightly variegated/speckled yarns, or thicker striped yarn. Picking an appropriate yarn for this project will ensure you don’t lose the fun cables you’ll create.
