Winter Wonderland

$7.00

When my husband and I embarked on our journey of romance, one of our earliest adventures led us to his family’s cherished lake lot for a day of ice fishing. The serene tranquility that enveloped the frozen lake, set against the backdrop of a crisp blue sky and the stark beauty of the leafless trees, cast a spell of enchantment akin to a magical winter wonderland. Amidst the journey of my life, only a handful of moments have offered the gift of absolute serenity, and that day on the lake, despite the biting cold, infused my soul with an enduring warmth.

The idea of the snowflake design had lingered in my thoughts for a while, as I contemplated how best to encapsulate the beauty of those sun-kissed snowflakes, waiting patiently for the ideal frozen blue yarn to complete the vision. Finally, the threads of inspiration have woven themselves together, and the culmination of this endeavor leaves me brimming with satisfaction. Like a flurry of delicate, unique snowflakes, everything has aligned to craft a design that resonates deeply within me. Winter Wonderland was in full flurry. ❄️

Description

Worked in the round, Winter Wonderland contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers – so you don’t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).

This pattern is available in our Standard formatting. Low-visibility and screen-reader-accessible versions of this pattern are available with this pattern purchase. The low-visibility format is 24pt print in Arial, black font, no italics, and contains written directions (there are no charts to work from). The screen reader format has all the items mentioned above, contains no abbreviations, and accessibility was checked by the read-aloud function on both a Windows PC and Android device.
