Dale

$8.50

Indulge in the timeless elegance of Daleโ€™s pattern, inspired by the iconic film โ€œTop Hatโ€ starring the remarkable duo Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The delicate lace panel gracing the upper edge of this sock pattern pays homage to Daleโ€™s ethereal gown as she gracefully twirls in the unforgettable โ€œCheek to Cheekโ€ dance sequence.

Just as Ginger Rogers captivated audiences with her grace and charm, Daleโ€™s pattern exudes a similar sense of sophistication and allure. With each stitch, youโ€™ll be transported to the glamour of Hollywoodโ€™s golden age, where romance and elegance reign supreme. Embrace the spirit of classic cinema and let Daleโ€™s pattern add a touch of timeless beauty to your knitting repertoire.

Worked in the round, Dale contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
