Pattern Support

If you’re here because something about one of my patterns isn’t making sense, you’re in the right place.

First, take a breath. Most of the time, this isn’t you doing anything wrong—it’s just a small clarification or a step that needs a bit more context.

I’m here to help you through it.

Before You Reach Out

A lot of pattern questions can be solved quickly by checking a few things first:

  • Make sure you’re working from the most recent version of the pattern
  • Double-check that your stitch counts match at the end of each repeat or section
  • Look for any notes or errata included in the pattern download or listing
  • If you’re using Ravelry, ensure you’ve downloaded the correct file for your size or version

If everything looks right and something still feels off, that’s exactly when you should get in touch.

What I Can Help With

I’m always happy to help clarify:

  • Instructions that don’t seem to line up
  • Stitch counts that don’t make sense
  • Missing or unclear steps
  • Questions about technique within the pattern itself
  • Anything that’s stopping you from comfortably continuing your project

Sometimes it’s a quick fix. Sometimes it turns out something genuinely needs clarifying in the pattern. Either way, we’ll sort it out together.

What I Can’t Help With

There are a couple of things I’m not able to troubleshoot:

  • General Ravelry account or download issues
  • Problems unrelated to my pattern instructions
  • Modifications or major design changes beyond the pattern scope

If it’s a Ravelry download issue, Ravelry support is usually the fastest way to resolve it.

How to Get the Fastest Help

When you email me, it really helps if you include:

  • The pattern name
  • If it’s a multi-sized pattern, the size you’re working on
  • A clear description of where you’re stuck
  • A photo or screenshot if you can (this is incredibly helpful)
  • What you expected to happen vs what is happening

This makes it much easier for me to jump in and help quickly.

A Gentle Note About Response Time

I do my best to respond as quickly as I can, but I also design and tech edit alongside pattern support, so replies may not be instant.

If you’ve sent a message, I’ve seen it—I’ll get back to you as soon as I can sit down and give it proper attention.

Thank You

Every question helps make my patterns better, clearer, and more enjoyable for everyone knitting them.

So thank you—for your patience, your attention to detail, and for knitting my designs in the first place. It truly means a lot.

    Support for Free Patterns

A quick note about free patterns.

I don’t offer individual pattern support for free designs, including detailed troubleshooting or step-by-step guidance via email.

This isn’t because I don’t care about those patterns—it’s simply a matter of capacity. As a one-person business, my time needs to stay focused on designing, editing, and maintaining the patterns I sell.

My free patterns are written using the same process, clarity standards, and testing as my paid designs, and they are intended to stand on their own with minimal support required.

If you’re working through a free pattern and something isn’t making sense, I recommend checking the notes, rereading the instructions slowly, or reaching out to the knitting community for general technique help.

Thank you for understanding and for respecting the boundaries that allow me to keep creating new designs.
