Step into the whimsical world of Chapstick & Moon Boots, a sock pattern inspired by the unforgettable dance sequence featuring John Heder in Napoleon Dynamite. With each stitch, we pay homage to our endearing protagonist who wholeheartedly embraces the dance floor, captivating audiences with moves that are simply unparalleled in charm and uniqueness. Just like Napoleonโ€™s iconic dance, our pattern exudes a playful energy that is sure to bring a smile to your face with every viewing. Embrace the spirit of creativity and individuality as you knit your own pair of Chapstick & Moon Boots socks, and let your feet dance to the rhythm of your own unique style.

Worked in the round, Chapstick & Moon Boots contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
