Grapevine

$8.50

Introducing Grapevine, an enchanting sock pattern that beautifully weaves together my passion for twisted stitches and intricate cables. These techniques harmonise to craft a mesmerising arrow texture that gracefully spans the sock’s instep and runs along the back of the leg. Delicately nestled amidst garter stitch sections, this is where you’ll also discover our thoughtful size adjustments, ensuring that this pattern is wonderfully inclusive with options for both toe-up and cuff-down constructions across eight different sizes.

What sets this pattern apart is its ingenious reverse engineering, ensuring that the arrows elegantly ascend the sock, regardless of your chosen knitting direction. However, for those seeking a touch of creative exploration, should you wish for the arrows to cascade down the sock instead, the process of adaptation is straightforward. Detailed notes guiding this alteration have been thoughtfully included to empower your knitting journey.

Worked in the round, Grapevine contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a short row heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
