Scholar

Introducing the Scholar sock pattern, a masterpiece of design where distinguished diamond cables gracefully intertwine, each flowing beside the other in a harmonious dance. These cables, while never fully merging, come together in a captivating motif that exudes an abundance of intrigue. Through the artful combination of twisted stitches and 2-stitch cables, a three-dimensional effect emerges, causing these exquisite elements to burst forth from the fabric, captivating the eye and creating a truly enchanting visual spectacle.

Worked in the round, Scholar contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a short row heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
