In Celtic, the name Vardon means “From the green hill.” The rolling cables remind me off all the lovely green pictures you see of Celtic nations. Beautiful! I adore cables, so this beanie is a great treat to wear, for either gender, and a pompom is optional. (Curt wishes for a pompom on all his hats and therefore it had to have one. Dorky, but we all adore him for it!).

Worked in the round, Vardon contains written directions and charts. This hat pattern features 2 sizes; Small, & Large. Vardon includes a hat worksheet, so you know how to measure your head to achieve a perfect fit.

Vardon is written to be worked on circular needles. When the crown becomes too small to continue, you’ll switch to the magic loop method. However, the pattern notes do contain details should you wish to use double pointed needles throughout instead.

Curt is seen here wearing the medium size and has a 22” (56 cm) circumference head.
