Velma

$8.50

Are you prepared to step into the world of the Cell Block Tango? Drawing inspiration from the captivating musical Chicago, Velma serves as the driving force. Among the cinematic gems, the Cell Block Tango sequence stands out as a personal favourite โ€“ a harmonious blend of storytelling and music. Mirroring this evocative scene, the Fright Night colourway from Dye for Ewe adeptly encapsulates the striking interplay of blacks and reds, channelling the dramatic essence of the iconic performance.

Worked in the round, Velma contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
