Carefully choosing the right yarn colourway for your project ensures a harmonious collaboration between the yarn and pattern, resulting in a magical creation where they complement each other seamlessly rather than competing. Embark on this crafting journey and let the synergy between yarn and pattern weave its enchantment.
For our Alberto (light) sample, we’ve used Malabrigo‘s Sock base, which has a fibre content of 100% Superwash Merino. The skeins are 440 yards / 402 metres per 3.5 ounces / 100 grams.

Disclaimer: with substituting yarn for your knitting projects, achieving the same drape, fit, finished measurements, and gauge, as the designer is essential to get the same finished measurements and yarn requirements. To ensure the best results, opt for similar fibre content, as each type of yarn behaves differently, wool won’t give you the same outcome as acrylic, and so on. So, while swatching to achieve a specific gauge, keep in mind that using a different fibre content may yield different results in your final project. The yarn substitutes included the same ply and fibre content and had similar attributes as our pattern sample yarn. They have not used the yarn with this pattern, therefore it hasn’t been tested, therefore we cannot make any guarantee on the finished outcome. We’d also like to note that we are not responsible for the inventory, available stock, or business of the indie dyers mentioned here. Please contact them directly for questions or help.
