Techniques used in Goldrush (listed in alphabetical order)

(K5) Cluster: K2, p1, k2; transfer these 5 stitches to the cable needle and wrap working yarn around them three times, counterclockwise. Transfer the 5 wrapped stitches back to the right-hand needle.

 

K: Knit.

 

K2tog: Insert the right needle into 2 stitches simultaneously and knit the 2 stitches together. (1 st dec)

 

K3tog: Insert the right needle into 3 stitches simultaneously and knit the 3 stitches together. (2 sts dec)

 

Kfbf: Knit into the front of the stitch, leaving the stitch on the needle, and knit into the back, and then front again of the same stitch. (2 sts inc) 

 

M1L: From the front, lift the horizontal strand between stitches with the left needle. Knit through the back loop. (1 st inc)

 

M1R: From the back, lift the horizontal strand between stitches with the left needle. Knit through the front loop. (1 st inc)

 

P: Purl.

 

Sl: Slip specified stitch(es) purlwise with the yarn in the back of your work.

 

Sl wyif: Slip specified stitch(es) purlwise with the yarn in front of your work. 

 

Sl2tog-k1-p2sso: Slip 2 stitches together knitwise, knit 1, then pass slipped stitches over. (2 sts dec)

 

Ssk: Slip 2 stitches, one at a time, knitwise. Knit the slipped stitches together through the back loops. (1 st dec) 

 

Yo: Wrap the working yarn over the right needle, from front to back (counter-clockwise). (1 st inc)
