Scout

$8.50

A symphony of knitting delight unfolds when the intricate dance of lace and cables comes together to create an exquisite pair of socks. The artful interplay between delicate lacework and the bold twists of cables is a source of immeasurable joy for me. Allow me to introduce you to Scout, a sock pattern that not only embraces but truly shines in this realm of creative synergy.

With Scout, you’re embarking on a journey that promises nothing short of knitting satisfaction. The harmonious collaboration between lace and cables within this pattern is a testament to the beauty that emerges when two distinct techniques merge seamlessly. Each stitch is like a note in a harmonious melody, resulting in a wearable masterpiece that encapsulates the essence of both elegance and intricacy.

Worked in the round, Scout contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a peasant heel (afterthought heel using scrap yarn), but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers โ€“ so you donโ€™t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
