Mockery – the hat pattern bursting with personality and charm, this hat is a nod to the subtle art of knitting. With mock cables that add depth and character, you’ll be amazed at how simple and fun they are to create. Perfect for beginners or seasoned knitters looking for a quick project, this pattern offers versatility with options for both a snug beanie or a relaxed slouchy fit. But wait, there’s more! Customise your hat with or without eyelets for a unique touch that suits your style. Say goodbye to mundane knitting projects and hello to the Mockery Hat.

Worked from the bottom up, this versatile hat pattern allows you to craft a perfectly fitting hat seamlessly in the round. The construction involves starting with the brim, progressing to the body, and culminating with shaping the crown. As you approach the final stages of the crown, you’ll need to switch from using 16” / 40 cm circular needles to either the magic loop method or double-pointed needles, depending on your preference for tackling smaller circumferences.

A notable feature of this hat pattern is its versatility in accommodating different sizes. For the pattern motif and crown, there are both written directions and charts available. You’ll be able to work independently with your preferred directions once the brim is done.
